Lyrics: |
Poor southern girl |
| Lost your daddy | |
| Now it rides upon your collar | |
| Like a noose around your neck | |
| You got eyes | |
| That only see tomorrow | |
| Just as clear as river water | |
| Just as hollow as a shell | |
| You got years to burn | |
| You got time to kill | |
| If I don't break your heart than someone else will | |
| Poor southern girl | |
| Lost your daddy | |
| Now it rides upon your collar | |
| Like a noose around your neck | |
| Poor southern girl | |
| That only see tomorrow | |
| Just as clear as river water | |
| Just as hollow as a shell | |
| You got years to burn | |
| You got time to kill | |
| If I don't break your heart than someone else will | |
| Poor southern girl | |
| Lost your daddy | |
| Now it rides upon your collar | |
| Like a noose around your neck | |
| . . . rides upon your neck |
