Faithless Street

(Re-Issue)
Released 09/29/98
CD, Outpost Records, OPRD-30002

Liner Notes:
Faithless Street happened; dripping midsummer in a converted barn in Apex, "The Pinnacle of Good Living," North Carolina, we recorded our songs -- some that we'd known for a while, some that we made up on the spot.  One critic wrote about "inexpert playing and sloppy arrangements," but I didn't think that comments like this ever did or ever will phase us.  I got drunk one night after singing some, and rode a naked horse through a pasture - fast.  That same night Ryan took twenty minutes to scrawl the words to "Hard Luck Story" on the back of a pizza box; soon after we cut those vocals on one mic.

On this new release we've included a few "new" tracks cut around the same time -- songs we maybe didn't appreciate then, but have since come to care about.  With all that happened since that summer, Faithless Street exists as a fond memory of simple times.  We hope you enjoy it.

                                                                                                                     - Caitlin Cary, June, 1998

All I remember is what we had to drink and Skillet and Ray Duffy's preoccupation with fireworks.  Out in the parking lot across the street from Park Ave., the Roman candles and Black Cats sounded a lot like I'd hope we'd one day -- pretty little things all set on fire waiting to get destroyed.
